Founded in 2008, HYAA Wrestling has grown into one of the largest youth programs in Massachusetts. This program is available to both girls & boys ages Kindergarten- 8th grade.
Wrestling is split into two divisions: K-2 & 3-8, boys & girls wrestle in the same practice & tournaments.
The K-2 wrestling division focuses on basic wrestling fundamentals & skills.
- Practices are held once per week separately from the 3-8 division.
Grades 3-8 focuses on the more technical and challenging aspects of the sport.
- Practice is held 2 days per week with competition scheduled throughout the season. While competing is voluntary, it is encouraged in this age group.
The seasons begins November 29th and runs through the state championships. Often held in early February (Date TBD)
Practices are held at Sylvester Elementary School Gym.

Competition Team Tentative - based on registration
Offered to 3rd-8th graders only
Must have 2+ Years wrestling experience
Understand and demonstrate the basic rules of wrestling
Must have competed in a minimum of 5 career tournaments & understand the basics on how a tournament operates
One extra practice will be held and attendance is highly recommended!
Recreational registration:
Open to all regardless of experience.
